About us
Ruth Bowe, choir founder, was inspired to establish the Wellingborough Community Gospel Choir over 12 years ago following a series of workshops run by Gareth Fuller for Wellingborough School.
Since its inception in 2012, the choir has grown in size and reputation, with over 100 members!
Even though we are a gospel choir first and foremost, we cover a huge array of different genres and songs. From huge pop and soul anthems to classical chorales, we've pretty much done it all!

Rehearsals are held at Wellingborough School Chapel each Tuesday evening from 7.30 to 9pm during school term-time. On occassion this can change, but members will be notified in advance and the website is updated regulary.
Yes!
Concerts are held across Northants on a regular basis throughout the year. These include community events as part of an involvement with mass choirs in venues such as the Royal Festival Hall, the Royal & Derngate and the Old Savoy Deco Theatre.
At the same time some of the most rewarding gigs are those in smaller local churches and community halls in support of local charities and specific projects.
We're super excited to be taking our show all the way to Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2023 - Details coming soon!
In the meantime, take a look at our upcoming shows page to find info on our next performance.
You sure can!
We pride ourselves on being inclusive in that the choir welcomes all singers irrespective of ability and age; there are no auditions required and no previous choral experience is necessary. The only requirement is that of enthusiasm and a sense of fun!
Visit the Join us! page for a rehearsal taster and joining next steps.
Of course! Get in touch and we'll talk you through the details.
