One of the little-known skills amongst the Wellingborough Golf Club membership is that of singing. Whilst some singers’ performances go no further than the shower, eight club members sing with the Choir. With its eclectic repertoire the Choir has survived via weekly Zoom sessions for the last 16 months. On two consecutive Tuesday evenings the Choir, through the Club and committee’s generosity, held open-air rehearsals in the gardens of Wellingborough Golf Club and had no problems in filling the quota limit of 30 socially-distanced choir members for both sessions. The balmy weather played its part but the sheer joy of singing with one another rather than Zoom remoteness, was valued more than anything else.
